About this pattern
The Sage is my ribbed, unisex beanie - less puff than the original Meadow and more horizontal texture, which is what makes it read as neutral enough for anyone in the house. The rounds alternate cluster puffs with third-loop half doubles, so you get bands of texture instead of one all-over stitch.
Two sizes are written in colored brackets: child at 56 brim rows, adult at 58. The brim is a flat back-loop strip you crochet to length and then join into a ring, so the row count is what sets the head size. The PDF does not print a finished height.
