About this pattern
The Lydia carries twenty-three step-by-step photos, because the third-loop half double rows are the kind of thing that is far easier to see than to read. If you learn better from photos than from text, start here.
Three sizes run through the pattern in colored brackets: toddler, child and adult. The brim is a flat strip you crochet to length and join into a ring, so the row count sets the head size.
