About this pattern
The chicken is the coaster people pick up first at a market table. The body is worked in the round in puffs and cluster puffs, and then the comb, beak and wattle are made separately and sewn on, which is what gives it a face rather than just a shape.
It measures a little under 6 inches wide, and there is nothing to fit, so tension only changes the size slightly.
Five pages, sixteen photos, every piece written out separately, and a link to my video if you want to see the joining done. You are welcome to sell your finished coasters. A set of four in farmhouse colors is one of the easiest things I know to sell at a fair.
