Christmas Rectangle

The Meadow Rectangle is the workhorse of my pattern shop — a beautifully textured rectangle in puff and cluster puff stitches that becomes whatever your table needs: a festive centerpiece mat, a candle runner, a hot-dish landing pad, or a wall hanging for the holidays.

As written, it measures about 15 inches wide by 10 inches tall, but the construction makes resizing effortless — just keep adding rows until it is the size you want. Worked in Christmas colors it is instant holiday decor; in neutrals, it is a year-round table staple. You will need an I hook (5.5 mm), size 4 yarn, a tapestry needle, and scissors. Stitches used are chains, single crochet, puff, and cluster puff, each explained step by step.
